Jean-Pierre Barthélémy occupies a unique place in the world of French publishing. In the mid 1980s, he left a career in teaching to devote himself to the publication of high quality technical
books. His Société de Production et d’Edition (SPE) operates from a comfortable locale in the XV Arrondissement in Paris, where passionate lovers of cars and other forms of transportation
gather to admire and purchase his beautiful editions. Among Mr. Barthélémy’s works are an account of the mythical “Route 66” in the United States, written by Jean-Pierre Reymond and
lavishly illustrated by Patrick Bard; a recently published history of the French aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle”; the catalogue for the Mulhouse Museum of Automobiles; a biography of
stylist Paul Bracq; and, in collaboration with eminent historian Christian Moity, the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Grand Prix of Monaco. For information on SPE, its editions and
catalogue on automobile publications, please contact their website at: www.allmotorbooks.com, or write to SPE Barthélémy, 10, rue de la Procession, 75015 Paris, France. Telephone:
